This building has had many uses over the years. Retail space, residential apartments, offices, jail with 2 cells and even a pool hall. But it was originally built for Madoc's first Firehall. The building was completed in 1927 as indicated on the cornice. It is built along side Deer Creek which runs through Madoc and ultimately into Moira Lake.
