This Mall was built with Islamic architecture, on an approximate area of 80 thousand square meters. It was described by the English based newspaper (Financial Times) as ‘being one of the most beautiful buildings in the Arab countries'. The Mall consists of 2 main buildings each with 2 floors, 8 units, and 12 entrances from all sides. The two vaulted buildings are linked by bridges with one of the buildings facing Khalid lagoon, while the other was built parallel to King Faisal Road facing al-itihad park. The mall has over six hundred shops selling a wide range of modern and traditional products. The souk is well known for its many shops selling gold jewellery, but one can buy almost anything at the souk, with products ranging from textiles, ready-made garments, carpets, and souvenirs, as well as electronics, perfume.
The mall was refurbished lately by adding central air conditioning and other new shops offering new activities such as restaurants and children's entertainment areas.
