Like the Clifton Hotel, this building only has two stories. The hotel consists of two buildings, very different from eachother. The first, facing Collins Avenue, is more Art Deco than the one behind it. The windows are particularly wide, having three combined windows. These aren't shuttered windows. We can see four windows on the front, two wide ones on the sides and two narrows ones in the middle. This makes the facade tripartite. It is symmetrical, consisting of two wings and one centralbay. In regular Art Deco, the central bay thrusts forward, reminding of a ship, but that's not the case here. Here, the facade is nice and simple, no exessive use of relief. On the roofedge, there is a green strap, decorated with bass-relief Deco patterns. There are two eyebrows, providing shadow to the porch and the upper windows on the front. The edge of the eyebrows is painted silver, which is a commonly used paintcolor for Art Deco. The fence at the porch is a replica of the original fence designed by the architect. The pattern contains lots of curves, but also straight horizontal edges. The building used to be lightblue and pink, but in the 70s the color changed to green and yellow. Designed by Henry Hohauser.
