Completed in 1930, the Chrysler Building was once the tallest building in the world - until surpassed by the Empire State Building a year later. Rising 1,046 feet into the New York air, the Chrysler Building is without a doubt one of the most famous landmarks in the city. The building boasts 77 floors, 32 elevators, and almost 1,200,000 square feet of space inside. There are 8 eagles which are placed on the outside corners of the 61st floor, which overlook the rest of the city. Without question, the Chrysler Building is one of the most recognizable buildings in the city, and is also one of the best looking buildings, which reflects the art deco style from the time it was built.
