The south side of Lincoln Avenue between 9th and 10th Streets contains the historic Harwig's Saddlery Building at 911 Lincoln Avenue, probably the oldest building still standing in downtown Steamboat Springs. It opened in 1886 as a drugstore before becoming a tack shop. The Harwig family bought it in 1916 and added the wood facade with the painted cowboy. They ran the Harwig's Saddlery for 68 years. In 1985 the building was converted to a restaurant.
