Woodworking bench designed and built to be used in a small English one car garage or other small working space with shoulder and tail vices (vises) and using a hold-down in place of a front vice when required. This a bench which is intended to be walked around so that a project can be worked on from different sides. The removable central section aids in clamping. Turning the shoulder vice through 90 degrees in relation to the long axis of the bench and using commercially available tail vice gear allows for the advantages of a European bench in a compact form.
