The Chapel is part of the national trust property Gibside. It was built in the 18th and 19th centuries for the Bowes-Lyon family as part of their ‘Grand Design’ for Gibside. The Chapel sits at the end of the half-mile tree-lined Long Walk. Gibside Chapel hosts Anglican weddings for those living within the Diocesan boundary. It is a grade 1 listed building.
