The Wilshire Theater Beverly Hills at 8440 Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills, California in the United States of America was known as the "Fox Wilshire" theatre when it opened on September 19, 1930 and also as the Wilshire Theater. The venue is now called Wilshire Theatre Beverly Hills.
The Art Deco structure, designed by architect S. Charles Lee, is a classic city landmark and for several decades was one of Fox's premier theaters. The Wilshire was a movie palace from its' opening until a 1981 renovation, converting it into a stage venue. The West Coast premiere of Dreamgirls took place recently at the venue. It is now regularly used as a live performance venue for comedy, music, television, and film shoots, screenings, community inter-cultural events.
Stevie Nicks "White Winged Dove" tour HBO special was filmed here in 1981.
It is currently owned and operated by the Temple of the Air
