Modeled after a piece created by Gary Rogowski, head of the Northwest Woodworking Studio, in Portland, Oregon. The original was featured in three articles in Fine Woodworking magazine in 1997. Rogowski based his design on motifs originated by Greene & Greene, the brothers who exerted so much influence over Arts and Crafts furniture and architecture in California. The original is made of Honduras mahogany, with inlaid ginkgo leaves on the doors. It is about 72 in. long and 36 in. high.
