New York City Hall houses the office of the Mayor, and The Chambers of the New York City Council. Construction of city hall hit many delays because of political fighting, an outbreak of the Yellow Fever, and labor disputes. Dedicated in 1811, it remained unfinished, and was completed in 1812. It was designed by architects Joseph François Mangin and John McComb, Jr. with a French Renaissance design on the exterior, the interior is designed in the American-Georgian style.
