The St. Elie-St. Gregory Church is a beautiful Armenian Catholic church, near the Martyr's square in Beirut Downtown. It represents yet another element in the mosaic of sects and religions of Lebanon. While construction is still underway in this part of Beirut, the church dominates the skyline and is visible from Place des Martyrs and Downtown Beirut. The church was built in 1950 only to suffer damage during the war three decades later. It has since been restored to its former glory.
