The last Carnegie library to be completed in California was built as the Orosi Branch Library but now serves both Orosi and Cutler in northern Tulare County near the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. It is one of only three frame California Carnegies, and one of only three remaining of the Craftsman style, the others being Yolo and Riverbank. Random stone work of the exterior chimneys and basement, and interior chimneys and fireplaces, distinguish the small library. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
