This defensive tower was built in the early 14th century and it is decorated with Gothic recesses filled with colourful decoration. In the 19th century it was converted into a residencial building; windows were added and military dovecotes hung from hooks fixed in the upper floor. Hence the name of the tower. The pigeons kept in them were used to maintain contact between garrisons.
