(2012) (Under Construction) The Chicago Spire is a supertall skyscraper under construction in Chicago, Illinois. The building was designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava and is being developed by Garrett Kelleher of Shelbourne Development Group, Inc. At 2,000 feet (610 m) and with 150 floors, Originally to be completed in 2012, construction was halted in 2008 due to funding.
