Penobscot Building is an office tower located in downtown Detroit, Michigan. When built in 1928, the Penobscot was the tallest building in Detroit (until the completion of the Renaissance Center in 1977), the eighth tallest skyscraper in the world, and the tallest building outside New York and Chicago. This Art Deco tower was designed by Wirt C. Rowland.
