This model is based loosely on the Castle Ward published by 0one Games (http://0onegames.com). The original Castle Ward blueprints include a basement/dungeon level which I haven't even attempted to model here. The point of this exercise was to see if I could reconcile the blueprints of four separate stories into one cohesive unit. Sometimes I couldn’t and had to make stuff up to breach the gaps, plus I added some of my own embellishments. This model is divided in to four separate component levels. Each level can be hidden to reveal fully furnished rooms below. The three main rectangular stair wells are separate components which will remain standing as you switch the upper levels off. All of the spiral stairwells within the towers are fully articulated. I recommend saving the model to your hard drive so you can access the preset scene tabs. To furnish the rooms of this castle I downloaded a bunch of furniture elements from 3D Warehouse and modified them to suit my specific needs. I will eventually post individual furnishings and architectural elements which could be used as a basis for your own castle design. This model was made at a 10’ by 10’ square scale so as to make it compatible with D&D gaming maps. I placed a 10’x10’ grid in a separate layer which you can lift up or down in order to call out individual squares on each floor. You can then use the “top down” parallel-camera view to generate your own maps of each level. Browse and enjoy!
