Emeis Automotive is a two story brick building attached to a large brick garage. It was built in 1922 to house Emeis Manufacturing which opened its doors across the street at 217 Iowa St in 1906. Emeis Manufacturing built batteries and magnetos for gasoline engines and within the first decade began to work in auto repair as well.
