(c) Generalfeldmarschall - The Sports Palace in Lima was built in 1930 under the government of President Leguía. This building first served as a Basque Pelota arena until the coup that overthrew Leguia in August of the same year. The building spent some years before being used as a multipurpose sport venue. The Sports Palace was later expropriated by the SEDAPAL water company. Currently this emblematic building is waiting for its demolition.
