Hedgehog Shelter is ba sed on an elliptical footprint, located in Yemen. The tectonic unit is a 3D-star made out of timber logs or tree branches found in nature. Space is erected by stacking stars to form this oval space. As a simple assembly it uses local materials not requiring any particular skill. The design is simultaneously skin, space and filter for naturally mediating air and light between inside and outside.
