This model is based on the Wildsgate map from Dungeon Crawl Classics #28: Into the Wilds. The original material is copyright 2006 Goodman Games, used with permission. This was my first attempt at generating a 3D model derived from a 2D map of a published D&D adventure. You may recognize the precursors to all of my Instant Town buildings! I created Instant Town to serve as a stand in for the small village of Kyarovsk described in DCC#36: Talons of the Horned King. I wish there were more published adventures like “Into the Wilds” which not only provided a detailed map of the small hamlet, but ability scores and stats for every single village NPC as well.
