This model depicts the first planned 50 MW power plant at the Cooper Basin EGS project. EGS works by fracturing hot rock, circulating water through the system, and using the resulting steam to produce electricity in a conventional turbine. EGS power plants utilize the same proven technologies as conventional geothermal systems.
