The Spirit rock is used by students to express themselves by spray painting or decorating it. It may include anything from marriage proposals to dorm pride. On May 15, 2007, the Chancellor and Co-Founder of Liberty University, Dr. Jerry Falwell, passed away. A group of unknown students dedicated the rock to Dr. Falwell shortly after the event. *Note: Click on the building name under "My Places" in Google Earth to see an actual image of the structure, along with more information.*
