One of the newest buildings to make the AIA 150 list is Italian architect Renzo Piano’s New York Times Building. There are many “green” features including design that allows for reduced-glare, natural light to provide illumination for nearly the entire work day. Thin, horizontal ceramic tubes placed one and a half feet in front of the interior of the curtain wall reduce the energy required to cool the building.
