Leominster is a small market town in the Northern part of Herefordshire county in the West of England near the Welsh border. On the High Street is the Duncan James jewlers a vacant shop and the strange old violin shop. These three timber-framed buildings are all of 17th century date. The one on the left (no. 37) dates from about 1600, and that on the right (no. 41) is probably slightly later, although it is constructed from re-used timber that may be of 15th century date. Between them is a very narrow structure, squeezed into the gap and relying on their side walls for support.
