one of the more rare types of crossings, the tracks are embeded in the pavement in the middle of the street. but makes these types of crossings dangerous is not the number of collisions, but where to put the signals, how to mark the crossing, because on a railroad crossing signal: flashing red means stop. but on a regular traffic signal: it means stop and proceed. so if there is an intersection, like this one it can very confusing. however most mainlines don't street run anymore, only sublines, and industrial spers.
and the trains that do street run are usally going 15-25 mph, with a railroad employee ready to hop off and direct traffic.
