Built between 1985 and 1990, The Bank of China Tower was designed by I. M. Pei & Partners and is one of the most famous skyscrapers in Hong Kong. The changes in geometry, from a square base through several geometric changes to a single spire, result in a multifaceted facade of angles and profiles that reflect the light and seem almost crystalline in composition. This is a 76-story office building (72 aboveground and 4 belowground) reaching 1,205.4 feet high (367,4 meters) with the two antennas and 1,000.7 feet high (305 meters) with the roof. This was the tallest building in Asia and Hong Kong from 1990 to 1992 until the completion of Central Plaza. It is now the third tallest building in Hong Kong.
