This model was designed by a group of students for the Build Your Campus Competition. The Heritage Area Agency on Aging, one of thirteen area agencies in the state of Iowa, is a department of Kirkwood Community College. This arrangement is the only two of its kind in the nation. During the year, the Agency offers various training and educational seminars. Several of these provide continuing education units for persons in the human services area.
