The Alaska Native Science and Engineering Program Building is a 13,000 square foot, two story learning center located on the University of Alaska Anchorage campus. The north half of the building is a two story atrium area which serves as a multipurpose use area for project displays, large class assembly, and study area. It is equipped with a kitchen and serves as a community gathering area. The southern half of the first floor houses the collaborative learning laboratory. The second floor is made up of offices and recitation rooms. The construction was inspired by a traditional Alaska dugout canoe.
