on the southern side of ocean drive, this colorfull hotel decorates streets. It's bass-reliëf decorations are nice examples of art deco, so are the colors. It has a tripartite facade. The central bay doesn't seem to thrust forward, and on top of the wings are pyramid-shaped decorations. At this building we can easily see that the Art Deco style also was a very sober style (also due to the depression). There are only decorations and colors on the front. The sides and the back aren't really extraordinary. If we'd erased the decorations, it would've been just another modernist building. Date of construction: 1941
