Though this hotel seems too modern for Miami Deco standards, it still has its roots fermly planted in Art Deco. The windows are surrounded by squared off ridges, the remains of the traditional Art Deco eyebrows which only partially survived the arrival of International Style. The façade is symmertical and accentuates the horizontal element. Railroad sleepers run across the center window. Currently the building is vacant and boarded up, but developers plan to renovate unite this and two neighbouring hotels.
