St. Pau, MN former 1885 fire station Supply Hose 3 is perhaps one of the least well known former fire stations in St Paul. Opened in 1885, and housing Chemical Co. 3, this station is located on the hilly Upper West Side of St. Paul in an attempt to locate a station in the higher elevation of the city for the purpose relieving the horses from the tiring uphill runs. In 1907 the chemical engine was replaced with the hose wagon Supply Hose 3. In 1912 the station was placed out of service and as such did not survive the horses drawn era of the fire service. The building still exists today.
