I've chosen to cluster the information technology, library and food services in a core area. There are solid arguments for putting IT and library services together. Food is usually put off by itself but I wonder if this is a mistake. Think about homes. Where do people tend to hang out? In the kitchen! Cafeterias are large spaces and for much of the day they are relatively unused. Wouldn't it make sense to bring them closer to the students so eating and other activities can be easily combined. Especially in an educational environment where students are doing more project work and more collaborative work an attractive and close by eating space would be a big plus. Next up is the main entryway.
