Floating in the Prinsengrachtcanal this shelter offers a wide variety of spaces: - a dark and quiet bedroom, - a dry and light study, - a small, private terrace on the water, - a broad entrance at streetlevel and, on top of that: - a sunny roofgarden. Whilst materials used respond to other houseboats, the symmetrical plan and the tripartite elevation respond to the neoclassical architecture along the Amsterdam canals.
