By Hazhar Saida From: Leiderdorp, Netherlands Shelter location: Iraq Date submitted: July 14, 2009 This mountainous location has a harsh history, and climate, temperatures vary from –15º to +45ºC. Using local materials and traditional technology is proven to be the solution. The location provides a 360º view. The best orientation towards the sun is east and south, and towards the wind is the north. North provides the best view. Outdoor shaded spaces are vital, and the roof is used for sleeping in summer!
