This block on downtown Denver has two large skyscrapers and a series of smaller buildings. The minor buildings on this block include the YMCA of Denver, The Renaissance at Civic Center Apartments and a parking garage connected to the UMB Bank building. These buildings are both older and have some historical value to downtown Denver. The Colorado State bank Building, the western-most building on the site, was constructed in 1972. This building has 26 stories and is 352 feet tall. The UMB Bank Building on the northern part of the site was constructed in 1980. This building is 34 stories and 448 feet tall. This building has a sleek exterior, with silver reflective cladding wrapping both the building and attached parking garage. The long, vertical lines and dark windows of the Colorado State building are offset by the grid and order of the UMB Bank Building. Model Created by Adam Hecht.
