The original National Gallery of Art is the work of neoclassicist John Russell Pope, FAIA, who also designed the Jefferson Memorial. The central element in the structure references the Roman Pantheon. Seven shades of pink Tennessee marble blocks were used in the building. Model by Alex Juhola.
