Designed by Stephany Perea
From: Panama City, Panama
Shelter location: Panama
Date submitted: July 7, 2009
The shelter is located on the coast of the island of Coiba; this project focuses on keeping the forests of this island-state unchanged. The design respects the ecosystem and gives the traveler a place to rest on their way through the island. The structure is made of wood, glass and mesh, with 6 concrete pedestals at the foundation. It has large windows for lighting and ventilation.
