The William Creek Hotel is located in William Creek, South Australia's smallest town. It lies on the Oodnadatta Track, and is probably as far outback as you can get. Marree is about 200 miles to the east, and Coober Pedy about the same distance to the west, with no other human artefacts in between (apart form the Oodnadatta track itself, that is). It was build to service the now discontinued Ghan Railway line.
It is a welcome relief to arrive here after hours & hours of desert driving to grab a beer with the locals (who could all be members of ZZ Top but are probably not).
Thanx 2 Mark Hale 4 the Sat Dish.
