This is a Kenyan style top-bar hive designed by Kawayanan. It was designed so two hives could be made from one 4'x 8' sheet of 3/4" plywood. Included in the model are these components layed out on a example sheet. Each part of the hive is a component, so the model can be taken apart to understand the construction. The legs are 2x4's and the roof frame is 2x2 (except the ridge, which is a ripped 2x4). I planned the roof to be made of panel board, covered with aluminium flashing.
