Also listed with the alternative scientific name of Eucalyptus papuana, the Ghost Gum, native to Central Australia, has an unmistakeable look, due for most part to it’s ghostly white bark colour (hence the name). It is mostly found in the south part of Northern Territory, at the edge of Western Australia and into central Queensland. It creates a subterranean lignotuber that helps it recover after fires. The Native Australians used parts of this tree to treat colds. Origin : Central Australia. Height : up to 20 m.
