The shelter is located in an urban area of the city of Hato Rey in Puerto Rico. The activity in this area dies out after people finish their workday. The main idea behind the refuge is to take advantage of this situation to create a housing opportunity for the homeless of the area. Both the shape and the materials of the refuge permit better ventilation and absorption of sound.
