The Ford Center is a new multi-purpose arena in downtown Evansville, Indiana. With a capacity of 11,000, this state-of-the-art facility will be used for concerts, basketball, and hockey. It is home to the NCAA Purple Aces and the ECHL Evansville IceMen. The arena will also host exhibitions and will be directly connected to the convention center and a new convention hotel. Designed by Populous, the $128 million arena is designed to achieve LEED Silver Certification. Ford Center officially opened in November of 2011.
