Saw Horses in an older style. This style is heavier than most, but sometimes heavy is good and it allows for the saw horses to be spaced closely for storage. Material would be "two by" construction lumber which is 1 1/2" thick. The base and vertical pieces are two layers laminated together. Four by fours could be substituted with some adjustments if quality lumber is available. Most joints are glued and supported by draw bore pins. The brackets are doweled and glued to the legs, but are not glued to the base. This allows for wood movement. The 3/4" holes in the top allow for additional pieces to be added for height adjustment, to make a table, etc.
