The Lifeguard(ian) Shelter is more than a simple shelter, being simultaneously a lifeguard tower. Placed on Miramar’s beach (Portugal), it’s completely integrated in the surrounding environment due to its shape, resembling a ship, and the chosen material, wood, which is environmentally friendly, sustainable and is the traditional material used in the Portuguese seaside constructions. So, to study/work/relax becomes easy due to the interaction between inner/outer spaces and the surrounding environment.
