This world-class theatre and concert-hall complex at Marina Bay -in Singapore- is a remarkable icon by Michael Wilford & Partners in conjunction with Singapore's DP Architects. Because of the spiky, half-ovals which encase the Theatre and Concert Hall, the complex has been nicknamed "The Durians" by many Singaporeans in reference to the spiky tropical fruit which is popular in the region. This building is a Singapore icon and a cultural centre in Singapore, as well as for world-class events from around the world.
