The Reitz Home is a beautiful Victorian museum in the historic preservation district of Evansville, Indiana. This magnificent home was completed in 1871 for John Augustus Reitz. It is noted as one of the country's finest examples of French Second Empire architecture. The home has been featured in Victorian Homes Magazine nine times, published in the book Victorian America, and featured in the HGTV special "Homes of Our Heritage, American Tycoons." The museum is decorated with period furnishings and offers tours to the public. Special thanks to Amanda Baird/BlackDoll Photography for use of her photos for some of the textures.
