Lowell Massachusett's government seat. Distinctive Richardson Romanesque style building with a 180 foot clock tower., constructed in 1893. Romanesque arches, dormer windows,
carved granite decoration, bowed windows and steep shingled roof. Clock Tower and small towers, along with slate roof are copper clad. Two marble staircases grace the front and side entrance. Interior courtyard is accessed by large arched entrance. Located in downtown Lowell Massachusetts in historic district that is on the National Register of Historic Places. |
