This model is of the Lumber and Grist Mill (c.1840 – c.1950) located at the North Family Shaker Village in Mt. Lebanon, NY. The mill was a three story building whose lowest level, constructed of field stone, housed a water wheel and later a water-powered turbine motor for powering the lumber saw and grinding wheel.
