Who qualifies?

Google SketchUp Pro Non-Image-Installed Laptop Licenses are available to accredited educational institutions for use in instructional settings. In addition, community centers, non-profit museums, public libraries, correctional facilities and other not-for-profit organizations with instructional facilities may qualify.

We regret that educational institutions and not-for-profit organizations who would like to use Google SketchUp Pro for any purpose other than teaching students do not qualify for educational pricing. This includes school, hospital and religious organizations' facilities departments.

Please note that SketchUp for Education Licenses are to be used for educational purposes only; they should not be used for commercial (for-profit) work of any kind.

How much does a Google SketchUp Pro Non-Image-Installed Laptop License cost?

Non-Image-Installed Laptop Licenses for Google SketchUp Pro cost $39 per laptop per year. There is no volume discount for these licenses.

When do Non-Image-Installed Laptop Licenses expire?

Non-Image-Installed Laptop Licenses expire on one of two dates, depending on when the license was generated:

  • Licenses purchased Jan 1st through July 31st expire on July 31st of the next year
  • Licenses purchased Aug 1st through Dec 31st expire on Dec 31st of the next year

How do Non-Image-Installed Laptop Licenses work?

Non-Image-Installed Laptop Licenses are intended for installation on computers in an non-image-installed laptop network situation. An non-image-installed laptop network is one wherein:

  • Laptops are administered individually, either by users or by IT specialists in your facility
  • Laptops are not distributed with all software pre-installed; software is installed on a per-computer basis

Schools that purchase Non-Image-Installed Laptop Licenses will receive a batch of Google SketchUp Pro licenses that can be used to authorize the laptops in their program. These licenses can be distributed to individual users who can install and authorize Google SketchUp Pro themselves.

Non-Image-Installed Laptop Licenses are single-user licenses. They are network-aware, meaning that the same license cannot be used to run Google SketchUp Pro concurrently on more than one networked computer at a time.

What if the computers in my laptops program are image-installed?

If the computers in your laptop program are image-installed, please read about our Image-Installed Laptop Licensing; this may better suit your requirements.

How are Education Licenses different from regular commercial licenses?

Like all of our educational licenses, our Non-Image-Installed Laptop License and our regular commercial license work exactly the same; we haven't put any limitations on printing, saving, or anything else. The only difference is that Non-Image-Installed Laptop Licenses expire, while commercial licenses don't.

Will I get disks for the software?

Everything on the disk is available for download free from this website. Because of this, we no longer offer CD's.
