Build 3D Models

build great 3D models with SketchUp. Visit our gallery to see examples.

Publishing your models to the 3D Warehouse is a great way to showcase your work and share your models with others. If you model 3D buildings and would like to share them with the world through Google Earth, click here to learn more. Only the very best models make our selection for the "Best of 3D Warehouse" layer in Google Earth, but here are some helpful guidelines that will improve your chances.

Model Types

There are two types of 3D SketchUp models - geo-referenced and non-geo-referenced. A geo-referenced model is a building or other real-world object which has been accurately located in Google Earth and published to the 3D Warehouse.

Non-geo-referenced models can be buildings that are planned or envisioned but not yet built, but are generally objects used in the creation of a 3D model. Examples include things like trees, people, automobiles, and building products.
